CMS Support - Sites

The My Market Toolkit CMS Module can help you manage an unlimited number of sites and online marketing campaigns. It is designed to quickly add new sites and tie together many domains and subdomains.

Fields and Options

• Name
  • Can be anything.
  • Should be something meaningful.
  • For example: 2010-07-companyname-sitepurpose
• URL
  • May be a subdomain or root domain.
  • Must have the format of a domain (i.e. www.mymarkettoolkit.com) with out the http:// or equivalent.
  • This must be correct in order for your site to be "LIVE".
• Publicly Accessible
  • Yes - General web visitors may view the site
  • No - Requires Market Toolkit login
• Web Files Folder
  • All of your web files for this site will contain this portion in the file path. Here's an example: http://useast.mymarkettoolkit.com/www_mymarkettoolkit_com/images/logo.jpg. Notice the "www_mymarkettoolkit_com"? That's the portion you're setting here. Must be unique in the system.
• Templates
  • Your website may have a number of templates. You can either set default templates (select the appropriate drop down on this screen) or choose the template you want from page to page with the template drop down menu.
• Description
  • May be anything to help you remember what the website or campaign is for.

Make My Site Live!

A key step once your site is ready is to point your domain name to the My Market Toolkit IP address: 174.129.225.229. You do this by changing the settings for the name servers in the admin of whomever your domain registrar might be (e.g. GoDaddy).
